the true story of the greatest gun battle in 100 years of Oregon history
Starring Jim Morrison of The Doors

Jim Morrison in Oregon in 2007.
Redeemed is the true story of the greatest gun battle in 100 years of Oregon history. In 1995, a man burst into Gerald Pitts' home pointing a pistol at him and his son, taking them hostage and making demands. Gerald's ordinary faith in Christ and bravery, and the bravery of his neighbor, prevented a tragedy and saved lives. Gerald resumed his life as an auctioneer and rodeo photographer, working on the idea of a film about the gun battle, Redeemed. In 1998, lightning struck a second time, when Gerald met a cowboy named Jim Morrison. James Douglas Morrison, now living as an American cowboy in southwest Oregon, is the legendary lead singer of the Doors (PROOF), who allegedly died in 1971. Jim Morrison now says he faked his death in 1971 to escape the rock and roll life that might have otherwise killed him. "(Record label) Elektra made me into a dark angel." The former Rock Star is now an American cowboy leading a quiet life raising horses on a ranch in Oregon. Since he has no desire to return to that former persona, Jim has decided his return to public life will only be in the starring role in Redeemed.
Jim Morrison has assigned Gerald Pitts as his exclusive agent, and apparently both are as ornery as a mule and neither is motivated by money. They have turned down offers from major networks, to retain creative control themselves. Redeemed is now in pre-production. The door is open for distributors of the Jim Morrison Discovery Story.
This official Jim Morrison site is authorized by the Jim Morrison Trust & Gerald Pitts.
